In the series, LifeLike, Deborah Zlotsky blurs boundaries between documenting nature and inventing nature in her blown graphite drawings on mylar. Zlotsky is a 2012 recipient of a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship in painting and is represented by Kathryn Markel Fine Arts in New York where she had a solo exhibition in 2011. Recently, Zlotsky exhibited her drawings at Pierogi Gallery as the “Artist of the Week” (2010 and 2013), and in Unhinged in 2013. Zlotsky received a BA in Art History from Yale University and an MFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of Connecticut. She will begin a new position at Rhode Island School of Design in September 2013 after 17 years at the College of St. Rose.
