EXHIBIT/SCHOLARSHIP PORTFOLIO REQUIREMENTS:
- You will need to submit 5 images* via a shared link of a Google Slideshow. (Google Slides tutorial: https://youtu.be/iId6tjNmFYk)
- On each slide, beneath each image, you must provide: Title, media, size.
- Please use only a plain black or white background.
- If you do NOT want any individual artwork in the Annual Student Exhibition, label that it is unavailable with "not available for Annual Student Exhibition" next to the Title of the work.
- Work accepted must be received in the same condition as photographed, and be ready for exhibition.
- Accepted artists will be notified no later than Monday, April 2 by SBCC Pipeline email. The Gallery Director will host a MANDATORY information meeting on Tuesday, April 3 from 3pm-5pm, Room TBD to answer questions and demonstrate wiring, matting, and mounting techniques.
- The Opening Reception for the Annual Student Exhibition and the Scholarship Ceremony held in the Atkinson Gallery on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 5pm-7pm (scholarships announced at 6pm).

What does “READY TO HANG” mean?
For the 2018 Annual Student Exhibition at the SBCC Art Department’s Atkinson Gallery, “READY TO HANG” varies based on media and size:
3D DESIGN, SCULPTURE & CERAMICS:
- If object is small enough to sit on a 24W”x24”D pedestal and is also free standing, sculptures will be accepted as is. Pedestal will be provided during exhibition. Depending on number and size of works accepted, some objects may share pedestals.
- If object is too large for a 24”Wx24”D pedestal or is not free standing, accepted artists should meet with Gallery Director to discuss installation options.
PAINTINGS:
- If paintings are on canvas/stretchers or on board, they should have a wire attached to back for hanging.
- If paintings are on paper, please see WORKS ON PAPER below.
WORKS ON PAPER (includes drawings, 2D design, painting, printmaking, photography, etc) :
- For pieces 14”x18” or smaller, artworks should be float mounted or window matted on 16”x20” matt board. Frame will be provided during exhibition.
- For pieces larger than 14”x18” and up to 18” x 24”, artworks should be float mounted or window matted on 22”x28” matt board. Frame will be provided during exhibition.
- For pieces larger than 18”x24”, accepted artists should meet with Gallery Director to discuss installation options.
OTHER
- If works do not fit any of the categories above, or are not designed to framed/sat on a pedestal, please discuss with the Gallery Director.
